This privacy policy explains how normalvo (normalvo.com) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website or contact us. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and limit data collection to what is needed to run the site and answer your requests.
Controller and scope of this policy
This website is run by normalvo, 14 Quay Lane Studios, Exeter EX2 4AN, United Kingdom, which decides how the data described on this page is used. Questions about it can be sent to hello@normalvo.com or asked by telephone on 01392 410386; they concern every page under normalvo.com and the messages that reach us through it.
Storage periods
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as statutory retention periods require. After that it is deleted or the reference to a person is removed.
Technical log entries disappear automatically after a short time. Correspondence is kept while it may still be needed, and records that tax or commercial rules require us to keep are held for the period those rules set.
Sharing of data
We do not trade in personal data. It reaches only the companies that keep this site online and handle our email on our behalf, bound by contract to our instructions, and the authorities that are entitled to request it.
If a provider operates servers or support staff abroad, data may leave the country in which we are established. We work only with providers who commit to the level of protection that the applicable law requires for such transfers.
Data security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold against loss, manipulation and access by unauthorised people. The connection to this website is encrypted where your browser supports it.
No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot exclude every risk. Within our company, access to the messages we receive is limited to the people who answer them.
Data we collect
Each time a page is requested, the server notes the address of the requesting device, the date and time, the page and the browser that asked for it. These entries are needed to deliver the page, to keep the site stable and to trace faults, and they are removed after a short time.
Messages sent through the contact form or by email, together with your name, the address we should reply to and any details you add yourself, are kept for as long as it takes to handle the matter you wrote about.
Cookies and browser storage
Only what the pages need in order to work is stored. No advertising networks, no tracking across websites and no visitor profiles are involved, and nothing about your visit is passed on for marketing.
You can see which entries this website has stored, delete them and refuse new ones at any time in the settings of your browser. Blocking storage that the pages need may mean that parts of the site no longer work.
Why we process data
The information described here serves a limited set of purposes: running normalvo.com without faults, answering your questions, preparing offers or agreements and meeting the duties that come with running a business.
Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, on an agreement with you or the steps that come before it, on a duty imposed on us, or on our legitimate interest in a safe and working website. If you leave out the contact details we ask for, we may not be able to reply.
Your rights and how to use them
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to receive your data in a portable format. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
A message to hello@normalvo.com or a letter to our postal address is enough to use any of these rights. To make sure that information reaches the right person, we may ask you to confirm who you are, and we reply within the period the law sets.
If you believe that we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), in addition to any other remedy.
